At Family Day on Tuesday 16 August we're very happy to welcome Rose Sinclair, co-curator of the Althea McNish: Colour is Mine exhibition, who will be leading the craft sessions for the day. Inspired by Althea McNish's iconic designs for train seats, we'll be creating our own vibrant designs using weaving techniques.
Our craft activity is aimed at 6+ but all welcome. There will be toys for under 5s in our Honeysuckle room for families to engage with between sessions or if younger children need to get away (an adult must accompany).
All sessions are free but must be booked in advance. Please ensure that you book a ticket for each member of your group (adult tickets for 16+, child’s tickets for aged 15 and under).
- Craft activity times: 1pm, 1.35pm, 2.10pm, 2.45pm, 3.20pm. Each session lasts for 25 mins.
While you’re at the Gallery, we also have a family trail to enjoy. Start by exploring the Gallery and special exhibition with Indigo the Bird. Then follow the trail on an adventure around our garden with Fafnir the Dragon. When you’ve completed it, claim your prize!
