Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Entry is free.

William Morris Gallery is based in Walthamstow, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

The Gallery is a 12-15 minute walk or a short bus ride from Walthamstow Central station on the Victoria Line and National Rail.

London Underground

The nearest tube stations are Walthamstow Central and Blackhorse Road (Victoria line).

Walking from Walthamstow Central

Approx 12-15 minutes.

Leave the station via the Selborne Road exit. Walk through the bus station and turn right onto the high street. At the junction, take a left onto Hoe street, walk along this street for about 10 minutes until you reach Ruby Road. Turn left into Ruby Road and at the end you will see the William Morris Gallery, just behind the main entry gates to Lloyd Park.

Bus from Walthamstow Central and Blackhorse Road

From Walthamstow Central, exit via the bus station. Bus numbers 34, 97, 215, 275, or 357 to Bell Corner will take you to the Gallery. Turn left into Forest Road and the Gallery is about 100 yards down on the right. This journey is approximately 5-6 minutes.

From Blackhorse Road station take the 123 bus towards Ilford and depart at the Lloyd Park stop, which is in front of the Gallery. This journey is approximately 10-15 minutes.

Alternatively, you can walk from Blackhorse Road station to the Gallery along Forest Road. This will take approximately 20-25 minutes.

National Rail

The nearest National Rail station is Walthamstow Central.

Take the train from London Liverpool Street Station (Chingford Line) to Walthamstow Central station. Exit the station via Selborne Road. Turn left into Hoe Street and walk along Hoe Street for about 10 minutes until you reach Ruby Road. Turn left onto Ruby Road and at the end you will see the William Morris Gallery,  just behind the main entry gates to Lloyd Park. The entire journey will take around 25-30 minutes.

Cycling

By car

We do not recommend travelling by car as parking is extremely limited.

Travelling on A406, exit via the Billet roundabout on to the A112, Chingford Road, and drive until you reach the junction with Forest Road. Turn right onto Forest Road and the Gallery is about 100 yards on the right.

Parking

The Gallery has three parking bays for blue badge holders only, accessible via Forest Road.

Please note, the Gallery gates are kept locked to prevent unauthorised parking. Blue badge holders are therefore asked to call the Gallery when they arrive and someone will come and let you in. If you don’t have a mobile phone please call in advance.

There is no other parking available at the Gallery and parking in the local area is very limited. There is a small pay and display car park on Bedford Road, adjacent to the Gallery, but please be aware this is typically busy.

Coaches

If arriving via coach, there is a designated coach parking bay located in Forest Road between Hawthorne Road and the pedestrian crossing.
