Summer programme
Throughout the summer, activities and experiences will take place outdoors in Lloyd Park. This will include:
Summer Family Park Trail for children of all ages. Available throughout the summer, inspired by the gardens where Morris grew to love the nature around him.
Morris Makers Market Showcasing the work of local artists, designers and independent makers, as well as the Gallery’s community-in-residence groups. Dates in July & August.
Landscape Drawing Club Artist-led workshops inspired by William Morris’s love of the natural world. Each session explores simple ways of observing and capturing what you see. With artists Deborah Frank, Alastair Gordon, Lucy Pearce and Barry Sykes. Includes a special ‘kids edition’ event for ages 11+. Dates in July and August.
Threads of Sound on Saturday 18 July. Young musicians from the Waltham Forest Music Service return to the Gallery for a summer edition! Taking place in the Gallery’s Cafe space, audiences can enjoy intimate performances of both original material and reimagined covers.
Family Day: Morris’s Magical Menagerie taking place on 8 August. Animal mask-making sessions inspired by the creatures found in the Gallery’s collection, on the bandstand in Lloyd Park.
