This etching by Frank Brangwyn is from a sketch made in a shipyard in Boulogne, France. It depicts three figures sawing through a large tree trunk. The original view showed clouds in the background (fifty impressions were taken of the first (trial) state), however in the second version Brangwyn removed them so that the sawyers are shown against a clear background.
