Standing figure of the artist in trousers, waistcoat and jacket with long scarf around neck, looking slightly to right, one hand in pocket of jacket, the other holding a palette. An area of rough metal by the palette suggests that he originally held brushes which have been broken off.
Albert Toft made two portrait bronzes of Frank Brangqwn, this statuette and a bust was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1938.
