Outline for embroidery in black ink, with central motif of flowers and a scrolling acanthus leaf around the stem, attributed to May Morris.

The design was acquired by Irene Hallum who was an embroiderer and designer for Morris & Co. In 1940 when the firm closed she bought back some of her own designs and more by other designers.
