‘Le Pont d’Alcantare a Tolede’. 125 proofs were taken. The plate was destroyed. Brangwyn made several watercolours of this bridge from various angles. The bridge itself was constructed on the site of previous Roman and Moorish bridges, about 1380 under Archbishop Pedro Tenorio, and was later fortified by Andres Manrique in 1484.
