The firm specialised in reprinting early nineteenth-century chintz designs from old woodblocks and who also made a point of using designs from inexpensive block- and machine-printed wallpapers from some of the country’s leading designers. These included Christopher Dresser, C.F.A. Voysey and George Haite, as well as the Silver Studio. The firm was bought by A. Sanderson, in 1913
