In May we’ll be stepping into the world of medieval make believe, inspired by William Morris’s own love of dressing up as a knight and imagining daring quests to rescue his friends from dragons.

Children will explore patterns, colours and textures as they create their very own coat of arms based on the things they love (favourite animals, colours, shapes or symbols), just like real medieval knights who used designs to tell their stories. They can then decorate their own shield and tabard with their designs, perfect for imaginative play and heroic adventures at home.

As this can be a messy session, please wear or bring old clothes. Aprons are available. All sessions include the craft activity, singing and a snack to take away.
