Outline design for an embroidery by May Morris in black ink of two large scrolling acanthus leaves surrounded by tulips, roses and other flowers. The design was intended as a 3ft wide seat cover.

The design was acquired by Irene Hallum who was an embroiderer and designer for Morris & Co. In 1940 when the firm closed she bought back some of her own designs and more by other designers.
