This spoon was collected by May Morris during her first visit to Iceland in 1924, it is carved with year on the reverse of the handle.
It was donated to Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter in 1939 by Mary Lobb, May Morris’s companion and later transferred to the William Morris Gallery.
