An invitations for teachers to join us at the William Morris Gallery for a networking and drinks reception, including a tour of our current exhibition Althea McNish: Colour is Mine. A landmark retrospective of one of the UK’s most innovative textile artists and the first designer of Caribbean descent to achieve international recognition.

The event will showcase some of the schools’ workshops on offer at the William Morris Gallery, a preview of our upcoming exhibitions and the chance to participate in a creative activity facilitated by Griffics. The activity will be easy to replicate and focuses on the mental health benefits of being playful, creative and working with our hands.

You will also hear from speakers from some Waltham Forest services and organisations which promote wellbeing activities for schools.

The event opens at 4pm for a 4.30pm start.

This event is for teachers across all subject areas and stages. Please feel free to share the invitation with colleagues.
