The William Morris Gallery is an Arts Award Supporter. Arts Award encourages young people aged 5 - 25 to grow their arts and leadership talents and provides accredited qualifications over five levels: Discover, Explore, Bronze, Sliver and Gold (the latter senior award offers 35 UCAS points)

Make the most of online arts activities and support young people in celebrating their arts achievements

Arts Award Discover is an introductory award and can be completed by young people from ages 5 to 25 working at their own level. This special Waltham Forest Discover is designed for families to do independently. Younger children will need more adult support in working through and filling out our Waltham Forest Arts Award Discover booklet, which can be downloaded here Print out the booklet and add in extra pages for your artworks or alternatively you can do it all electronically. Scan photograph and store your artwork in electronic folders on mobile phones.

There are many arts activities out there to do online and arts organisations with great websites to vist. Try the many William Morris Gallery activities or check out Waltham Forest Virtual Culture. For Arts Award Discover you need to show you have spent around 20 hours on arts activities

You can sign up  here for the William Morris Gallery Arts Award Discover programme  via Eventbrite and get online support and advice on submitting work or you can make an appointment for a Friday advice session at the William Morris Gallery. There will normally be charge of £8 which includes your final certificate.

Our Arts Award Adviser can also provide some support families who have some experience of Arts Award and and would like to move on to Explore, Bronze or Silver. There will be an initial registration fee for this and a certificate fee on completion.
