The aim of this role is to support the Learning and Outreach Officer by helping to plan and deliver object handling sessions for school groups at Vestry House Museum and support artist led sessions at the William Morris Gallery.
This role would be suitable for someone who would like to share their passion for local history with school groups and who has experience of working with schools or young people.
The aim of this public facing voluntary role is to welcome and engage with general visitors to the William Morris Gallery and to supervise temporary exhibitions and public galleries.
This role would suit anyone who is eager to share their enthusiasm for the Gallery and its collections who is happy working with people, or someone who wants to gain experience of good customer service.
Vestry House Museum family programme volunteer
The aim of this role is to support the Cultural Programme Officer to develop and coordinate activities and events for diverse family audiences at Vestry House Museum.
Activities and events volunteer
The aim of this role is to support the Learning Manager in delivering activities and events for diverse audiences at the William Morris Gallery including families and adults.
You will be volunteering as part of a small team who share their experiences and ideas in order to provide a high quality experience for our visitors. As part of the team you will gain an understanding of informal learning and how to engage different audiences through fun, interactive and informative activities and events.
Collections documentation volunteer
The aim of this role is to support the Exhibitions and Collections team in documenting the Museum's rich collection representing the diverse history of Waltham Forest. It would be an ideal position for someone who enjoys handling museum objects, who is very precise and who wishes to find out more about working with museum collections.
