Part of the range of ‘Glasses with Histories’– glassware designed by Harry Powell based on historic examples and produced by Whitefriars. Based on a Roman jug in the British Museum, Powell’s design adds a stopper to create a decanter. This was the most popular of Whitefriars’ Roman models and decanters with both flat and pointed stoppers remained in production from the c.1908 until the 1930s.
