An important message for our community

We take the allegations made in a recent blogpost by a member of William Morris Gallery staff very seriously. A formal grievance has now been made and will be investigated in full by Council officers not involved in the running of the gallery.

We always aim for the museum and gallery to be places where all members of the community feel safe, welcome and valued, whether they are visitors or staff, and that the exhibitions and events we host connect with the lives and experiences of the diverse Waltham Forest community.

We will take positive action to address issues raised and commit to work with our communities to understand how we can better involve people from all backgrounds in the management and running of the gallery as well as our wider cultural offer.
